The Advanced Leadership of Self Summit
University of Texas at Austin Austin, Texas | November 2027
Some conversations need a room.
The research can be published. The methodology can be taught. The data can be shared. But the conversation that defines an emerging academic discipline — that determines how it grows, where it goes, and who it reaches — that conversation happens when the right people are in the same place at the same time.
The Advanced Leadership of Self Summit is that place.
What the Summit Is
The Advanced Leadership of Self Summit is the annual gathering of the people building, teaching, researching, applying, and expanding this discipline. Convened by the Center for Advanced Leadership of Self at the University of Texas at Austin, it is the institutional heartbeat of an emerging field — the moment each year when the work being done across classrooms, research centers, corporations, and individual lives comes together in one room.
The first worldwide Summit takes place in November 2027 in Austin, Texas.
It is not a conference in the conventional sense. It is not a collection of speakers presenting to a passive audience. It is a working convening — designed to advance the discipline, deepen the network, and accelerate the reach of Advanced Leadership of Self across higher education, corporate culture, and society.
Who Attends
The Summit is deliberately curated. It is not designed for everyone. It is designed for the people who are actively engaged in building this field. Who are teaching it to the driven 2%.
Academic Leaders and Educators
University administrators, department heads, and faculty who are teaching or considering teaching Advanced Leadership of Self at their institutions. The Summit is the place to see the methodology in action, engage with the research, meet the people leading the discipline, and evaluate what bringing it to your institution would look like.
Researchers and Academics
Scholars whose work intersects with the science of self-mastery, unconscious behavior, neuroscience, and human performance. The Summit is the place to engage with the emerging body of research, identify collaboration opportunities, and contribute to the scientific foundation of the discipline.
Corporate and Executive Leaders
Executives and organizational leaders who understand that self-mastery is the foundation of high performance — and who are ready to bring that foundation to their people. The Summit is the place to understand the methodology in depth, engage with the evidence, and explore what an organizational partnership looks like.
Certified Practitioners and Educators
Individuals who have completed the Advanced Leadership of Self certification program and are teaching or implementing the methodology in their own contexts. The Summit is the annual gathering of the practitioner community — the place to deepen expertise, share results, and contribute to the discipline’s evolution.
Driven Individuals
The 2%. People who have experienced the methodology personally and want to go deeper — to understand the science more fully, to connect with others who are living this way, and to be part of something larger than their own practice.
What Happens at the Summit
The Summit is structured around four core experiences.
The Science Sessions
Deep dives into the neuroscience and research behind the Advanced Leadership of Self methodology — featuring the researchers, academics, and practitioners whose work forms the scientific foundation of the discipline. This is not an introduction to the science. It is the leading edge of it.
The Methodology Sessions
Immersive, hands-on sessions in which participants experience the Advanced Leadership of Self system directly — including the Life GPS Template, the five self-mastery skills, and the AI-powered deep thinking sessions. Designed for both newcomers and experienced practitioners, these sessions are where the methodology comes alive in a group setting.
The Research Presentations
Academics and researchers present their findings on self-mastery, unconscious behavior, and human performance — contributing to the growing body of evidence that defines and validates this discipline. The Summit is the primary annual venue for presenting new research in this field.
The Future of the Discipline
A forward-looking working session on where Advanced Leadership of Self is going — new institutions, new research directions, the K–12 frontier, corporate applications, the evolving role of AI in the methodology, and the global expansion of the discipline. This is the conversation that shapes the next year of the field’s development.
Why Austin. Why UT.
The University of Texas at Austin is the institutional home of Advanced Leadership of Self — the place where the methodology was first taught at the graduate level, where the Leadership of Self Index was developed, where the research center was established, and where the IP is patent pending.
“What starts here changes the world.”
Austin is one of the most dynamic cities in the world — a hub of innovation, entrepreneurship, and intellectual energy that mirrors the spirit of this discipline. It is an appropriate home for the first worldwide gathering of the people building the next evolution of advanced leadership of self education.
The Summit will be held in November 2027, giving the field time to grow, the research time to accumulate, and the community time to form before convening for the first time.
The Significance of the First Summit
The first Summit is not just an event. It is a marker.
It is the moment at which an emerging academic discipline becomes a recognized community. The moment when the people building this field in their own contexts — their classrooms, their research centers, their organizations, their lives — come together and see the full scope of what is being built.
The first worldwide Advanced Leadership of Self Summit in November 2027 will establish the annual rhythm of this discipline — the heartbeat that keeps it growing, evolving, and connected across institutions, industries, and individuals.
The people in that room will be the founding community of a field that is just beginning. The conversations that happen there will shape what comes next.
Get Involved
The Summit is being planned now. There are several ways to engage before November 2027.
